Heather

I met Heather through my fiances family and church, they had known each other for years. Heather is always so patient and kind and always has this gentleness about her. Married to an Army Chaplin and raising two little boys her patience and love amazes me. She is such a wonderful mother, wife and great friend.

One time in particular always sticks out in my mind though when I think of her. I was going through a very rough time a few months ago with my fiance and really wasn't sure what was going to happen. I was worried and exhausted, and was an emotional wreck. I remember waiting in church after service one day and she came to sit by me and started up a conversation. She gave me encouragement and the confidence I needed to go on with my day and to look at things in a little bit brighter perspective. By the end of our conversation she took my hand and she prayed with me. I will never forget that because tears welled up in my eyes and I could feel God speaking through her, telling me that everything was going to be alright. (Typing this I'm getting a little teary eyed. Haha.) It was such a sweet and Godly thing that might not have meant much to some but it meant the world to me, especially on that day. She is such a Godly woman and her family is so so lucky to have her.

Bret & Shelbee

I met Bret and Shelbee from a free mini session they had won on my Facebook page! I had posted that I was wanting a recently engaged couple to photograph. The contestants were told to inbox me a picture of themselves, how long they'd been together and how he proposed. Lucky for Shelbee she had the most magical engagement....Bret proposed to her in from of the Magic Kingdom at Disney World!!! How perfect is that? Being a huge Disney fan myself I couldn't help but fall in love with these two. They were so easy going and fun, loved to talk and I love hanging out with them during their session. Once again, congratulations Bret and Shelbee on your engagement!!!

Chris and Bailey's Wedding

Chris and Bailey are something special. You could tell by the way they looked at one another that they were in love and couldn't wait to spend their lives together. They just clicked. They were fun and energetic, but also had a calm and patient side that was quite refreshing. Their wedding took place on a large farm in Northern Indiana that had the most gorgeous barns and houses I had ever seen. The ceremony took place down a long gravel lane in the middle of the woods and was accompanied by the sounds of a string quartet. Bailey was even brought by a stunning horse and carriage before walking down the aisle with her father. Chris and Bailey's handwritten vows were ones that left guests grabbing for tissues and were so sincere along with a few laughs. The reception was so much fun with guests breaking out all their moves and Bailey getting down with the bridesmaids. It was definitely a night to remember! I'm so glad I was able to experience this wedding! Thanks to Kristen Mittlestedt for letting me second shoot!
